Ahead of Ghana’s 2024 general elections, we asked a simple question: how do you get young people involved in a national agenda for peace?

The answer was Today Is Us — a peace advocacy campaign designed to inspire unity and peaceful coexistence across Ghana’s cultural, political, and religious communities.

The campaign included stakeholder engagements with the Ghana Peace Council and the Ghana National Mosque Complex, and inclusive community outreach.

Its centrepiece was a peace anthem composed with young musicians from five cultural backgrounds, a youth Muslim community leader writing in local dialects, and a children’s orchestra in Tema (Académie de Musique Classique, ADMC-Tema).

An appearance on the Onua Reality Show carried the message to a national audience — young patriots speaking to their own generation.
